Runzo Technologies, Inc. (“Runzo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates a restaurant operating system that connects customers, restaurants, and drivers on a single AI-powered platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website at runzo.ai, our mobile applications, or any related services (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

• Registration data: name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account.
• Transaction & payment data: order details, delivery address, and payment card information processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• Restaurant onboarding data: business name, address, tax ID, banking details, menu content, and staffing information provided by restaurant operators.
• Driver application data: name, contact details, vehicle information, driver’s license, and insurance documentation.
• Communications: messages you send us via support channels, survey responses, and feedback submissions.
• Marketing preferences: your choices about receiving promotional communications.

Information from Third Parties

• Login data if you choose to sign in via Google or Apple.
• Fraud detection and identity verification data from third-party providers.
• Public information such as restaurant reviews or business registration data.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device & log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited.
• Location data: precise GPS location when you use delivery or map features (with your permission), and approximate location inferred from IP address.
• Usage data: features used, search queries, order history, and interaction patterns on our platform.
• Cookies & tracking technologies: session cookies, analytics pixels, and local storage to maintain your session and analyze usage. See Section 5 for your opt-out options.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

• Provide our Services: process orders, facilitate deliveries, manage restaurant accounts, and power ASKZO AI features including catering quoting, marketing automation, and review management.
• Process payments: charge and refund payments via Stripe, detect and prevent payment fraud.
• Communicate with you: send order confirmations, delivery updates, account notices, and customer support responses.
• Improve and develop our platform: analyze usage patterns, conduct research, test new features, and train our AI models on anonymized or aggregated data.
• Marketing: send promotional emails, push notifications, and special offers with your consent. You may opt out at any time.
• Legal compliance & safety: comply with applicable laws, respond to legal requests, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
• Anonymized analytics: create aggregated, de-identified data sets that cannot reasonably identify you, which we may use or share freely.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share your personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal data.

• Restaurants: when you place an order, we share your name, order details, and delivery address with the fulfilling restaurant.
• Drivers: to complete a delivery, we share your first name, delivery address, and order details with the assigned driver.
• Payment processors: we share payment information with Stripe, Inc. to process transactions. Stripe’s privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
• Service providers: we engage vendors for cloud hosting (Google Cloud), email delivery, analytics, fraud detection, and customer support. These vendors access data only as needed to perform services on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Professional advisors: lawyers, accountants, and auditors under duties of confidentiality.
• Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Runzo, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Your Privacy Choices

• Account access & correction: you can review and update most of your account information by logging into your Runzo account settings.
• Account deletion: to delete your account and associated personal data, email privacy@runzo.ai. We will process your request within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Marketing opt-out: click “Unsubscribe” in any marketing email or adjust notification settings in the app. Note: transactional messages (order confirmations, receipts) cannot be opted out while your account is active.
• Location: you can revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings. Some delivery features may not function without location access.
• Cookies: most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Note that disabling cookies may affect platform functionality.
• Do Not Track: our Services do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We will update this policy if that changes.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, apps, or services (such as restaurant websites or social media platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

7. Information Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher.
• Encryption at rest for sensitive data fields.
• Access controls limiting data access to employees who need it.

No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us at privacy@runzo.ai and we will promptly delete it.

Runzo is headquartered in the United States and our Services are primarily operated from the United States. If you access our Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure that any international transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including using standard contractual clauses where required.
